Your own mud-brick B&B in the quiet Yarra Valley countryside
Connect again with the natural world
After all this excitement, and a healthy dose of country air, picture yourself drifting off to sleep, cocooned in pure linen, in the comfiest of beds within the hushed silence of the mudbrick bedroom.
You’re on country time, so wake when you wake, breakfast when you’re ready, take your coffee for a stroll around the billabong, as the Blue Wrens bop about.
Escape the city
The minute you walk through the door into The Burrow, the view of the billabong captivates you. You’ll find yourself absorbed by it, from the comfort of the daybed or easy chairs on the verandah. Take the binoculars and set off on foot to get amongst it.
When it’s time to eat, feel free to cook up a storm in the kitchen (you’ll find everything you need) or enjoy your pre-ordered dinner. Choose to dine at the old cedar table complete with linen and timeless Cornish blue china, or head outside to eat on your private veranda.
There’s no To Do list here
While away your days exploring your new surroundings. Make the most of sunlight on water, tree shadows, birdsong, bright flowers and perfumed air. Or when it’s chilly, dip into the books and old movies, light the candles for some relaxation; BYO music if you wish, sit out by the warmth of the fire pit (marshmallows on the house) and watch the moon rise… or just tune in to nature and let the frog songs soothe you. The moment you arrive, you’ll begin to relax.
